we broke down nearby and needed to find somewhere for food on a whim, this is where we chose. it was absolutely fantastic. i was a really big fan of their sausages and toast. i’m legitimately a bit of a hater when it comes to breakfasts because it never seems to be done correctly, but this was absolutely perfect and i’ve no idea how they managed it. the staff were delightful too.

Lovely small pub nearby the hotel I was staying at. I've been here twice now. The first time I come I had the chicken and hampi of which was delicious with mashed potato and today when I came I had chicken goujons to start and à salt and pepper chicken pizza which was delicious, nicely cooked and the pizza was sliced which is rare, bonus points there. A nice relaxed atmosphere, unfortunately I had big foot arrive and sit next to my table and he just proceeded to burp loudly and not even think he was doing anything wrong, other than that I had a lovely meal and relaxing evening... Bar the one burping clientele.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Service & Incredible Care We visited The Woolpack tonight and were absolutely blown away by the service. My partner follows a low FODMAP diet, which can be quite tricky when eating out, but the team here went above and beyond for us. They were genuinely kind, patient, and sincerely interested in making sure she felt comfortable and well-looked after. The chef took the time to adapt the meal without any fuss, and the staff made everything feel effortless. It wasn’t just good service — it was thoughtful, personal, and honestly some of the best hospitality we’ve experienced in a long time. And the food? Exceptional. You could taste the care that went into it. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour even with the dietary adjustments. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares about its customers and delivers amazing food on top of it, The Woolpack is an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
